THE BIGGER PICTURE
Mbappe moved away from Paris Saint-Germain in order to win the Champions League more frequently. However, Luis Enrique's side blitzed their way to European glory in their first season without the World Cup-winning forward, whose new Madrid team were knocked out in the quarter-finals. Dembele has stepped up and led the team to a treble with Mbappe long gone and is one of the favourites for this year's Ballon d'Or after winning a club treble. However, he faces stern competition from Yamal, who won La Liga with Barcelona as he continues his incredible rise to superstardom.
